Expanded PTFE (ePTFE) is produced through a bi‑axial stretching process that creates a micro‑porous, fibrous structure. This gives it superior compressibility, conformability to irregular flanges, and better sealing performance compared to standard (skived or molded) PTFE sheets. Kaxite ePTFE products maintain the same excellent chemical resistance and wide temperature range (-200°C to +260°C) as conventional PTFE.

Kaxite expanded PTFE products can operate continuously from -200°C to +260°C, with short-term peaks up to 300°C. They are chemically inert to virtually all media (pH 0–14), except molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine at high temperatures. This makes them ideal for aggressive chemicals, solvents, acids, and bases.
